BioSergeant Harry G. Wells was under the impression, when he led his squad of five lads into the Scottish wilderness for a behind-enemy-lines training exercise, that they were going to have a rough time of it. He had no idea how right he was. Contrary to all expectation and reason, the woods were inhabited not by the typical denizens of the wilderness, but by a pack of werewolves...

Sergeant Wells is a career soldier of middle years, a veteran of the Gulf War and Bosnia who's seen quite a lot of hell on the battlefield- and unfortunately, off it as well. He has short, greying hair of a muddy brown colour, and generally has blue eyes. The exception to this is during the height of the full moon; Sergeant Wells was savaged by werewolves in Scotland, and to his horror found that he recovered with remarkable speed from what should have been a fatal injury. The bites had transmitted lycanthropy, rather than outright killed him. As a consequence he heals very quickly from wounds that are not immediately fatal, even outside of the full moon period. When the full moon rises he is capable of resisting the worst urges associated with lycanthropy, but the process of changing is both inevitable and painful. The result is a brief period of yellow eyes, followed by a physical transformation to an eight-foot-tall digitigrade wolf-man hybrid with a powerful compulsion to hunt down and devour living prey. In either human form or the wolf-man form, silver used as a weapon will kill him. In the wolf-man form very little else will, save for massive explosions or decapitation.
